These past few weeks, in addition to starting school, working and seeing to my activities of daily living, I also volunteered at the Maryland Food Bank warehouse, where I was sure I would contract the hantavirus because it seemed that everyone else in America was getting it. I didn't.
What I did do is manage to piece together a semi-coherent report of the volunteer experience and post it to my schools OFFICIAL blog, The Raven.
The careful reader may notice that The Raven is hosted on Typepad, about which I am currently composing an opus-esque rant. Once I've finished editing out the phrase, "mind-numbing waste of code" and replaced it with more diplomatic language, I will post about that.
In the meantime, I hope you will consider reading my article and perusing the rest of the blog. It's not just for law students. Here are some of the highlights:
- My friend Christine makes everyone feel bad for whatever non-paradise they visited over the summer.
- My friend Jordan reminds us all that we are slowly losing the right to vote.
- I photo-document the activities of generous law student food bank volunteers while succeeding in not taking a picture of myself.
- 1L contributor Darci documents why each new class makes the previous class feel like a bunch of slackers. (Aside: The layout on this page is what caused me to have a psychotic break about Typepad. I should not have to open Dreamweaver to post to a blog.)
If you like what you read, feel free to like The Raven on Facebook. I suppose you can follow us if you are Typepad user...the Typepad user. Seriously, if you use Typepad, can you post a comment? I really just want to know what I'm missing.
